Slide to write

Slide to type a number or symbol

Configure autocorrect
Automatic correction helps us write quicker by correcting hastily-written words. In Gboard’s Spell Correction options, we may activate autocorrect. Enable ‘Undo automatic correction’ to recover the original text by pressing Backspace if autocorrect changed a correct word.
Adjust your specific recommendations
In addition to the options for automated correction, we can also locate the settings for suggestions. This gives us the ability to have the keyboard display us, in the strip at the top, the various words that we might wish to write.
Make your own abbreviations
Using the short forms of Gboard is another way to write it faster. From Dictionary Settings > Personal Dictionary > Spanish, we can add words with their abbreviations so that when we type the abbreviation, the keyboard shows us the full phrase in its suggestion strip and we can just touch it to add it.
Save to the clipboard the texts you use often.
If we notice that we have to write certain texts a lot, like an email, phone number, ID, or address, we can copy that text and fix it on the clipboard so that it is always there.

If we write a lot of letters with numbers and don’t want to switch back and forth between the letter and symbol keyboards, we can turn on the number row in the keyboard settings so that it is always visible.
Type with your voice
Lastly, a person who doesn’t want to write on a touch screen can use voice typing instead. Here, all we have to do is read the text out loud and say the signs for “comma,” “period,” “question mark,” and “exclamation.” For example, to write “Hello, how are you?” we have to say “Hello, interrogation, how are you?”
